On the topic of music and clients and code, I'm hacking on various modules for mplayer, as well as a client ala mpc for mpd that'll be able to control one or several instances at the same time.
The server/client functionality is... functional, and one part of the 'Now Playing' module is done. Here's a simple script that shows what can be done
looks really nice and informative

Multitasking big time;
1) Listening to my fav indie artist via the 'tube because my favorite music player (Listen) is on the fritz,
2) researching ways to use xsession instead of xinitrc
3) Adding to the monster of a perl script that automates a full system install/upgrade.
4) Uploading said script at 3 am in the morn.
If you're reading this; you're awesome.

Working on a directory tree listing in PHP with some jQuery effects. Just starting, actually. Or well - I'm trying, but I'm getting close to falling asleep. And Bonobo doesn't help

Along with 400mg of caffeine, this is how I spend many Saturday nights.
What game is that on the right?

Draje will have to confirm, but it looks like Rise of the Triad (rott) to me. I used to play that on DOS years ago, but just now discovered it had been GPLed and ported. I may have to try it out for old time's sake.

It definitely looks like ROTT... fun game!
And OMG impedance control on the Xonar?!? Why don't I have that on my ubuntu box?? Does it default to < 64ohms? My headphones are 300ohm!
edit: Arg 10.04 is still on 2.6.32. Looks like I'll be installing Arch tonight

Editing some of the source code for compiz-deskmenu to make it a bit more capable like mygtkmenu and openbox's pipe menu ability. But...I've only gotten around to getting compiz-deskmenu to execute sh -c 'cd /path/to/dir && some command' properly (which is essential to getting some wine apps to run).
For every problem, there is a solution that is:
Clean
Simple and most of all...wrong!
