WoW!!! Nice icontheme! Where did you get it? I did not find any link at Google. :-(

Well I posted that ages ago smile Those icons were extremely hard to find so let me just upload them somewhere smile Here you go!

Thanks for sharing!

I've extracted the file and have moved Eikon to .icons . However, I just see icon updates in menu, not in thunar. Thunar is going to use the 'silver folder icon'-set. sad How can I change thunar, that it's going to use your icon set? I enabled Eikon via Settings -> Appearance -> Icons.

How do I install Eikon Icon Theme? I moved the eikon folder into /usr/share/icon and then choose eikon in appearance. It seems to have applied itself almost everywhere except thunar. Also how do i install the gtk theme? I installed the package http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=44667 from AUR but panel still white boxes around icons.

Hey dooniezazen,

I've discovered a workaround. You just have to delete / move the /usr/share/icons/Gnome Folder. After that, everything works like a charm!

Thanks for the tip. It fixed thunar icon theme but broke several icons on panel and application menu. Some panel icons are either black on white or white on black and while some are missing.

Re: Show off your XFCE desktop!

I got tired of plain old Openbox with a bunch of random apps, so I decided I'd mix Openbox and XFCE.  I didn't post the "clean" thumbnail because the wallpaper has some coarse language.

Re: Show off your XFCE desktop!

Running Atolm-gtk3/axiomd along with cairo compmgr makes right-click too quick and it automatically opens the first tab.

How do i get Axiomd like smooth corner tabs in Atolm-gtk3 theme?

Hey, looks great old-style! I like the CDE-look, too, but it takes too much vertical space on a widescreen-monitor. I wonder if it is possible to configure xfce 4.8 look nearly like this. Maybe I'll try that later.

Okay, here's a screenshot of my "mp3-player". It is only xfce 4.6, but I think, the same would be possible with xfce 4.8:

Re: Show off your XFCE desktop!

Just finished my first Arch install! I've used XFCE once or twice before but never for more than a few minutes. I didn't want to go with Gnome3 and I'm not a fan of KDE so I decided to give XFCE a shot and I'm definitely not disappointed! LOVING Arch so far! Here's my desktop after setup:

Window open for WM theme example: ihRpks.png
Pure desktop shot: vTOK9s.png

I used the ArchStats conky script posted somewhere on the forums here. Removed a few things and added the battery monitor to the top. (Note: it's plugged in so no time left tongue)

I'm using LightDM and I downloaded the unity greeter and customized it for Arch; same as my wallpaper. Here's a pic of lightdm --test-mode: (The window is really small I don't know how to make it bigger so it looks different than it would if I were logging in but you get the idea)

Thank big_smile For Window Manager I'm using Alternate. The close, min, max buttons are black and are hard to see with the dark theme so I gotta fix that soon. And for Style in Appearance i'm using xfce-dusk (The only dark theme on there).
