What theme is this? Is it using compiz or other composting manager?

Take a look at indicator-appmenu, it is what you need.

I use gnome-globalmenu-xfce4.

I am using compiz with my own opacity settings for certain window types and aps. The theme is called marples-black. The emerald theme is my own spin off Dust.

Switched from KDE to XFCE temporarily(or maybe not?) here's my somewhat simple and clean setup.
What GTK2 and window manager theme is that ? I really like the white on blue menu.

@mattisan,
welcome to the forums and thank you for your post! There are a few issues it, however:
1. Please do not include big images. There is a limit on image sizes, see our forum etiquette on this.
2. Include your listings in [ code ] tags (without the intevening spaces). This will make them better readable and put them into scrollable windows. You may find the available BBCode tags if you follow the "BBCode" link below the edit window.
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

@bernarcher,
Thank you for that and sincere apologies, I got a bit excited and rushed to post. Will pay more attention in future!
