Well this is only available in my "child-win" branch yet:

Btw, using that together with jQuery opens really cool UI building possibilities...

Ontopic: Nice screenshot.  What exactly do you use dzen2 for? (I noticed you said "dwm & dzen2", but to my inexperienced eye, it seems there is no dzen2 in the screenshot?)

bl1nk, could you please show us your wmii configs? I fell in love with your configuration. How did you modify vimperator to look like that, is it a GTK theme or something?

I would also like to know how he made firefox' tabs look like this. Is it a separate theme or vimperator?

This is my desktop. Details in the first one. Wallpaper is "Shape Clouds" (I think, it's from deviantart).

Re: December 2009 Screenshots - Take 3

You can change your firefox interface via the userChrome.css file or with any of the extensions that let you make custom css styles. Probably other ways too.

I used 'Stylish', removed all the buttons I didn't want to see and made my tabs nice and flat. The most important bits are the '-moz-appearance: none !important;' entries, which remove the gtk styling off elements.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

#content .tabbrowser-strip {
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  background: #131313 !important;
  margin-bottom: -1px !important;
}
#content tab:not([selected="true"]) {
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  background: #131313 !important;
  color: #4C8EA1 !important;
  height: 18px !important;
  margin-bottom: 1px !important;
}
#content tab {
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  -moz-border-radius: 0px !important;
  -moz-outline-radius: 0px !important;
  background: #4C8EA1 !important;
  color: #131313 !important;
  font-family: snap !important;
  font-size: 10px !important;
  height: 18px !important;
  margin-bottom: 1px !important;
}
#content tab .tab-icon-image {
  width: 10px !important;
  height: 10px !important;
}
#content tab .tab-close-button {
  display: none !important;
}
.scrollbutton-down {
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  display: none !important;
}
.scrollbutton-up {
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  display: none !important;
}
.tabs-newtab-button {
  display: none !important;
}
.tabs-alltabs-button {
  display: none !important;
}

Re: December 2009 Screenshots - Take 3

tMzAzZA

This is Arch Linux on my Lenovo IdeaPad S10. I wanted to give Arch Linux a try because I get more control over what is installed and how it is configured than with some other Linux distributions.

Aside from base, I have only have Xorg, Evilwm, Mpg123, Xcompmgr, and Firefox installed. With everything running, this setup only uses 480MB of memory (according to free -m), which is nice when you only have 1.5GB of addressable RAM.

I think the next things to do is to investigate how to modify my terminal colors, like I have seen people here doing, and to give Uzbl a try and compare its memory usage to Firefox's.

I've reverted back to Ratpoison. While I love Ion3+ it just feels too bloated sometimes. I just want control over windows.

Your terminal looks absolutely stunning! What font are you using? It is the most readable small font I have ever seen. Could you also post your terminal color scheme?

The font looks like fixed to me, with pixelsize 9. I have been using the same font on one of my machines, and it looks exactly like in milo's screen.
