xsession howto?

Can someone point me to a good howto for xsessions on arch?  I have enabled X11forwarding in my /etc/ssh/sshd_config and I connected to the target box via "ssh -X ip" but actually getting the X11 forwarding working is unclear from this point on... my goal is to run ossxmixer in the ssh shell and have it pop up on my other box's Gnome session.
