Looks good. You should probably turn off hinting so that windows don't leave the background showing through.

OT: Writing this with vim big_smile. Uzbl has an "external editor" script. Gonna start using it more.

Nice quote/fortune(?) tongue What's that "todo" notify thing, if you don't mind me asking?

It is fortune yes, didn't notice that it was a dirty limerick until I uploaded the pics and then I was to lazy to fix it big_smile

The todo thing is devtodo. I've written a small widget for adding, removing and displaying todo's within awesome using naughty. Link to the code in my .sig.

You could probably with some shell-scripting accomplish exactly the same thing with xmessage/zenity as well. I could write you one if you like smile

No, no no, that's allright. I really appreciate the offer though. I have a function in my zshrc to create todo files easily enough but I haven't messed with a way to "display" them. Although, I really should tinker around with it since I use "Ion" window-manager (which has an 'act-notify' deal I could take advantage of) written in Lua. Besides, I don't have xmessage or zenity installed. tongue Thanks though!

Re: January 2010 Screenshots

So I am for the first time venturing into using ArchLinux for my desktop workstation, previously I was using Ubuntu for my desktop workstation needs but I am getting tired of breaking the system every sixth month and not be in control nor really know how to configure my own system.

I have been installing and configuring everything package by package, that includes gnome because I do not want superflous software with my gnome. I am also very proud of the folder icon I personally drew. I want to distinguish my use of ArchLinux by getting away from the Ubuntu orange and using my own theme(of course I will release it as soon as I got something substantial to release)

There is still a lot to do, I haven't got pulseaudio to work, I do not know if it the NetworkManager is working properly, Fonts are still lacking, foreign language support and so on but I am getting closer to my vision of a perfect desktop with every package installed, configured and debugged.
