Re: January 2010 Screenshots

One of the tiling WMs you guys use (not sure which one), has this conky-like bar at the top-right. It displays little icons for cpu, ram, temperature and others. Is this built-in or some special font?
Anyone know such a font with little icons? (inb4 windings)

There are two types of people in this world - those who can count to 10 by using their fingers, and those who can count to 1023.

That's not a font, it's dzen2, a bar that allows you to use icons.

Not much change from december, but I like it a lot. This is my ancient desktop machine (ca 1 ghz amd ahtlon anno 2001?, 768 mb ram) which soon will be either retired or rebuilt into some kind of backup server, when I can afford to buy a spanking new machine.

WM: xmonad (+ xmobar), xcompmgr. That's about it. Freshly booted and X started, only about 72 mb ram is used. Adding firefox to the pool adds at least 100 mb ram usage and saddens the cpu sad  i really should look into light weight browsers...

The wallpaper reminds me a lot of this cover: http://revolvermannrecords.de/nyctalgia.jpg
It's from a Swiss ambient band.

I prefer the trees without leafs BTW tongue

I'm using Opera but i think it'll be not enough for you.

Openbox, Firefox-pgo, Thunar, urxvt, tint2-svn, conky

Working on my vertical tint config. Suggestions welcome. I'd love to get the system tray to be on the bottom, but I'm not sure that's possible without multiple configs.

Yup, I've been in the hobby for a little over a year now and have enjoyed the results...  Internship with CERN?  Sounds pretty exciting!  Do you know about http://laserpointerforums.com?  Some members are working on some pretty interesting projects there.
