Do you mind sharing your ncmpcpp configuration?
Sure, here you go: http://ompldr.org/vZnU3NQ/config
I'm using latest git version, so some things are not propably compatible with stable. Also, you should comment out the last line (media_library_album_sort_type = "name"), since it's my very own addition

Does anyone know how to remove the Awesome icon in the top right corner?
I tried to comment out this line
theme.awesome_icon = themedir .. "/awesome-icon.png"
in theme.lua, but it ruined the whole topbar.

Same ol, same ol.
Doug, can you give me a hint how to get that fancy statusbar in vim? I installed the powerline plugin, but I did not get how I have to patch the font to achieve that...

Do you mean the one in the top left corner? Either way, the way isn't to remove it in your theme.lua, cause your rc.lua still calls for an awesome_icon and if there's nothing, it'll break your installation. You have to comment it out in your rc.lua. It's under
mywibox[s].widgets = { . . . }
I believe the exact part is mylauncher,

What program do you use for irc? Mind sharing its configuration?

@nostalgix
Have a look here for your font https://github.com/Lokaltog/vim-powerli … ched-fonts and make sure you have 'let g:Powerline_symbols = 'fancy'' in your ~/.vimrc
@TheImmortalPhoenix
IRC is irssi, you can find my theme and the link to where I stole the theme on my git, I will add it now.

Thank you. Terminus seems to be the only font which is only working in gvim.

You should be able to just follow the instructions in the README.rst in vim-powerline/fontpatcher, except running it as 'python2 /path/to/fontpatcher font.ttf'
It worked fine for me adding symbols to a ttf font; I wound up using gbdfed to add the symbols to tamzen though

If you are installing fonts from that link make sure you are updating your font cache...

I now found a way to use the patched true type font now, but it looks odd. It's a bit blurry in general and so not as good readable as the original one I installed via arch.

Sorry for that, it's fixed now.
Hate to make a post with just an apology so I'll post my new config.
