Nice to hear that your issues are solved. But I doubt if they are KDE specific.  If you face more issues just try the rc kernel .

Re: kernel 2.6.32.5 and kernel 2.6.32.6 intel kms problem

I have rc5, but I'll wait a little longer until rc7 hits...

I had the same problem on both of 'em stable and rc so I should know more if this hits me again on gnome.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24314
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15015

I've tried both of the patches but it's still early to draw any conclusion, I've maybe jumped a gun a little but so far no problems, I'll see how it's working out in the next few days.

Re: kernel 2.6.32.5 and kernel 2.6.32.6 intel kms problem

I tried kubunu lucid alpha sometime last week and there was no freeze. Both had same kernel but different intel driver. So switching to an older driver must be worth a try.

Thanks

xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.9.1-1ubuntu4) from http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/x11/xs … ideo-intel

I used it only for 2 days though, so cant say for sure.
