Yeah.. I got it working now.  Now I just need to figure out why it hangs at 'Connected to myip' ... no matter what password I use it appears to "connect".  Hey, at least I got the client running finally :-P

Hmm.. Maybe you've got the same problem as tomk and you haven't got the session settings right?

Maybe you've set it to gnome without having gnome installed or something..
Or to "custom session" without giving it a command to run in this session..
