Also if you take a look at the source code, especially 00_header.in, you will notice the GFXTHEME entries are in that file, before the timeout entries. That suggests that all eye candy should go around that place and not later.

6. To generate grub.cfg type# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
A bit misleading for someone
. Anyways, in which one does the upstream grub2 hold its config? At least the one in [extra] holds it in /boot/grub.
sorry was a typo, is /boot/grub/grub.cfg. I updated the instructions.

Want to report the following changes:
1. I uploaded the theme I modify.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5ZPT7RHB
2. Uploaded the grub2-1.98-1.src.tar.gz to megaupload for the time being. For those
that don't have the package or lost it.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=05Z2J9M0
3. Do some documentation changes, fixes, etc.
Sorry for the Megaupload links but in the case of the theme, don't have a storage for the theme tar. Without it, I can't submit the package to AUR, and for the grub-1.98, it will probably get deleted again.
I'm looking for a storage, repo, overlay, whatever I can keep my package available to the community in an easier way (and more trusted) than Megaupload, and keep polishing to a very usable state. If anyone want to answer the call for help, leave me a PM.

UPDATE #2:
My package is no longer available in AUR, and very likely I'm not gonna repost there again due to the sour experience. Right now I'm looking for some repo, ftp/web, overlay; whatever that is not AUR to hold this package and keep polishing with the help of the community. Looking at extras current status of grub-1.98 and earlier, they look that they don't have the damn idea how to deal with this one
It's your own fault for not heeding Wonder's advice. No one took your ball away without fair warning. You were even given advice on how to repost in the AUR. Instead, you choose one of the worst upload sites possible to host this. Furthermore, your package BREAKS (read: will not install) when upgrading from any existing Grub2 because you've included a grub.cfg -- a file that by your own account it should be generated for you. So clearly, you don't have a "damn idea how to deal with this" any more/less than the devs. Bravo.
I hope Grub2 never makes to be the default bootloader in Arch. Something so trivial shouldn't require support packages just to be able to maintain itself. And in the spirit of Arch, programs shouldn't maintain themselves.

yes, I know. And my appoligies for any inconvenience.
Anyway, I will probably close this thread since the patches got merged in grub2-1.98-4.
But I will open a new thread with another grub2 package (tentatively named grub2-testcamp) to test some of the issues I got reported here. And if fixed, then I will post a ticket with the issue + fix.
