This happens only if uniquetabs is installed, i think uniquetabs is currently broken. But i don't really get the purpose of the script, it seems useless to me (i'm aware that i might have written it but don't remember the purpose).

Indeed, disabling uniquetabs worked. The purpose is enabling load-on-focus only on start-up, after that they open normally. That way you don't have to load every tab at once.

He meant the uniquetabs script The load-on-focus functionality is perfectly reasonable!

Not sure if this was brought up before but... as it stands bookmark management is pretty good (I like the integration with tab completion, shortcuts, etc), but when opening dwb:bookmarks it can easily look like a very lengthy blob of black text on all-white background when you have a lot of bookmarks. The one problem I have with this is there is little distinction between one line and the next.
Could there possibly be a list with alternating background colors, as with most lengthy lists usually found in databases? Alternatively (or also), would it not make more sense to have the (X) delete button preceding the bookmark title, such as: (X), Title, URL. Would make deleting a little easier, I think. Any opinions or existing solutions? Normally I remain quiet about trivial stuff like this but I use bookmarks all the time and was dealing with add/removing a lot lately so I thought I would bring this to discussion.
Thanks again for great browser.. still my daily choice!

I have been trying hard to get the bookmarklet of printfriendly.com working as a userscript with no success. I suppose there is a general recipe for doing this. Someone in the Zotero forums claimed to have made their bookmarklet work as a userscript but did not specify how.

Hi, first off thanks for this amazing browser.
I'm not entirely sure whether this is dwb specific or related to dbus, but whenever I run dwb with a command line argument (and there is already an instance running), I get the following error:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NotSupported: Application does not handle command line arguments
This is especially a little troubling when attempting to open links from other applications; it requires me to copy the link and paste it inside dwb.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

That's fixed in dwb-git.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making such a great nifty browser it's amazing!

I used to be using dwb-gtk3, but since I only have very few applications depend on it I switched to dwb from [community].
I now have the issue of a dissapearing cursor: it still functions but doesn't display. I couldn't find a similar issue, so I'm unsure what to do. Perhaps I need to start with a clean config?
Scratch that, after a reboot it seems to have resolved itself.
Another question, however: my performance with webkitgtk2 is considerably lower than I had with webkitgtk. Is there anything I can do about this? I.e. sometimes whole DWB hangs when it's loading a webpage.

You should use dwb-git rather than dwb from the repos! Portix mentioned many issues being resolved in the current version.

Oke, will give that a shot!
EDIT: I just installed dwb-git. The performance does seem to be snappier, at least I haven't encountered any hangs yet.
I did find out what causes the dissapearing cursor: it happens after/during playing a video with flashplayer.

I have a strange issue with dwb and also with dwb-git: After some time running dwb, the cursor suddenly defaults to the "hand" instead of keep showing the normal pointer. Restarting dwb fixes this issue temporarely, but after some time, the hand's back again.
Does anybody know something about this weird issue? Iirc, I had this issue also with Konqueror a year ago, so maybe this is webkit related?

I think both your problems are related to webkit. Do you get the same with e.g. surf?

Sometimes, yeah… Nother strange thing: This issue never seems to occure in a vbox with the same WM and everything, but only on my "real" arch (driven by an nvidia card, in case that matters).
Offline
That narrows it down. Do you use the open or closed driver?

The closed one for various reasons… But would it be possible anyway that the driver could change the pointer for some reason? o.O
Offline
@cju: Sometimes I experience this behaviour, too; but I use opensource drivers...

Thanks for the info, although now, I'm running out of any concrete suspects.
Anyway, it seems that this issue is caused by some fancy sites (perhaps only sites that uses flash?)... If I keep surfing on "normal" sites like archlinux, github and so on, I never run into this issue, but if I visit some "crazy eyecandy" sites like gmx for example, tadaa, there it goes, the hand's back until I restart dwb.

^ I also notice the cursor issue on flash websites, so I think both this issue and the dissapearing cursor issue are related to flashplayer. By the way, I use the Intel driver so it's probably not driver-related.

Ok, so it seems like nvidia might not be the bad boy at least for once… Still pretty strange why I'm obviously not able to reproduce this issue in a vbox.

Any ideas.. perhaps a setting that needs to be set/unset?

For those who didn't get the memo (I didn't, that's why I post it here), dwb (to be more precise: libsoup) can handle socks proxies, e.g. for TOR. Just open dwb:settings and put
socks5://localhost:9050
into proxy-url and enable proxy with Ctrl+p.
Question: How can I put an info to the status bar, if the proxy is enabled or disabled at the moment? Reason is, I want to disable the proxy / TOR for some hosts with the perdomainsettings script because of unencrypted login etc.
edit: The perdomainsettings don't seem to work for proxies. Or am I doing something wrong?
[...]
domains : {
"whatsmyip.org" : { "proxy" : false },
"ip-check.info" : { "proxy" : false}
},
[...]
On both sites I get my tor ip.
