As you may have noticed alread I have started an Arch Linux Newsletter team. Here is the team as of today:

ibendiben - Dutch

What I need? one more (maybe two more) contributor(s). And as many translators as can be for the different Arch Linux communities.

What else do I need: IMPORTANT: READ DEVELOPERS ONLY
I need a developer to take on Devland section.

I might translate it into german. But i cannot promise to be available every day since i'm writing exams atm

Nobody needs to be available all day, just the time they can, work isn't going to be hard. And translators are just handed the newsletter three to four days before release so they have time to translate. I need some security here from the people wanting to contribute in the different aspects. Jabber is required for our communication. If not well, email as minimum requirement.

For the contributors, you will either recollect information from forum, mailing list, and general linux news. ANd if you want, you can write something of interest for the community to enjoy.

I can do the forum highlights section and write short snippets on the history and philosophy behind Arch if you like.

I think you should also have a sort of "open contributions" philosophy where anybody can either write an article or submit a link at any time and you can choose if and when they will be included in a newsletter. We can just add a note to the closing "If you have ideas for an article or link to be included in the next newsletter, don't hesitate to contact me".

I'd be interested in helping. Relatively new Arch user, but I have been using linux on and off for around 12 years, and i've used pretty much all the available distributions in one form or another. Just let me know what sort of articles you are interested in, and I'll see what I can help with.

Original articles, lurking the web for useful news Thats about it, not that much of work.

There can be two persons translating the same newsletter, you just have to work with cooperation, the Portuguese translation is in fact made by two users from the Arch Brazil community.

And now we are speaking in riddles? or better said, in sayings? Well, in fact I would have to choose one translator, if the other wants to contribute it will be the decision of that translator if he wants or need help. But, two is better, for proofreading purposes.

I think you didn't get the riddle: what I meant was that one, two or even three translators for the same language are no problem. But if there are too many translators, the arguing about differences in the translation might take more time then the translation itself. What about one translator and a few proofreaders which could help out in translating the newsletter if the usual translator is busy? Or is this too complicated?

I was thinking about doing a series of articles on common things in Arch (system updates, things like that),or writing some other articles on things of interest. Is there anything in particular to write about?
