Hi,
When running KDE 4 I have an annoying problem: Randomly a key starts to repeat endlessly until I hit the same key repeatedly. It's really bad when I for instance delete an e-mail with the "Del" key and it sticks and deletes tens of emails before I get it to stop. It can happen with any key, but it only happens in KDE 4 on Arch. And idea what the problem may be?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I noticed that too, but I am using gnome. I am almost certain it has noting to do with the hardware because my three machines have all got the same problem, although quite rare.

Does anyone have problem with mouse scroll buttons randomly repeating as well? Both that and the mentioned problem appeared today for me (might have existed before, but only noticed it now).

If you are asking me the answer is not. This is a laptop.

If it happens on Gnome also this may be an Arch problem. Maybe even the kernel? I do not know enough about these things to figure it out. So this is just an assumption.

Does this sound familiar:

This was happening to me but has not happened yet since I upgraded to xorg-server 1.7.3-1 yesterday, I'm using a laptop and kde4 on x86_64 system.

Occured again today at initial log-in passwd...had to remove and re-install keybd.
X86-64 and kde4 latest upgrades.
Dec 12...again at boot-up ....no keybd.

Not for USB keyboard only. In fact, one of my machine is using USB keyboard but the other one is using a P/S2 one. The keyboard of my laptop is also recognized as a P/S2 keyboard, I guess.

Pretty much the same. Now it seems to be a more general problem.
