Does anyone know how to edit...

The gnome lock-screen background.

Mines set to the default "green leaf" thing and I really would love to figure out how to change it.
I've looked all through gconf-editor, gnome theme settings, and the GDM settings to no avail.
If anybody knows how to change this, I'd be most appreciative. (Maybe I'm just missing something or looking in the wrong places )

Lets say that I want no image at all.  Is there a way to change the default color.  I have looked pretty hard and can't seem to override this color.   I renamed the default image so that there was no image and now i just get the lovely green background.

lol, exactly... that's what I did...although setting a nice image does sound like a good idea
I'm gonna try the one you recommended, fukawi2. Or perhaps the background image from my GDM theme....that sounds even better
