Yes, the Firefox crashes in nvidia.com and vuze.com too.

I reckon my flash usage is fairly limited too, which is why I'm currently using swfdec - and when it doesn't work, I just say "Meh..." and go to a sane website instead.
100% CPU usage on one core for any YouTube video with X and FF alone with swfdec vs. less than 8% average with Flash 10. swfdec 0.7.x is much worse than the current "stable" series. Yes, it sucks bad to have a huge number of 32 bit files, but the other way is far worse.
---> Adobe, you suck. <---
---> E-Bay... err.. Skype, you suck less. I know you're trying to fix this, so you will unsuck yourself eventually. <---

Hi,
I added the flashplugin settings file (mms.cfg in /etc/adobe) in the package flashplugin-mozilla [AUR]
You can can use the GPU (OverrideGPUValidation=1).
Firefox 3.0.1 has a known crash problem with a wide variety of windowless mode SWFs. You can disable wmode with WindowlessDisable=1.
Regards,
webjdm

Thanks that worked.
I still have a problem of firefox crashing with youtube fullscreen though
Again, Opera works.
I'm wondering if this isn't a case of flash-sucking, but instead, firefox-sucking

webjdm? So this works in opera? You wouldn't know that from the name of the package or the description.

Opera just sucks in the plugin from /usr/lib/mozilla. But I agree, there's no need to specify that it's purely for mozilla.

Firefox is sucking with this Wmode and full-screen stuff, but it's known and it's slated to be fixed in Firefox 3.0.2

Due to a problem with libcurl, we have to add a symlink for libcurl.so.3. You have to force flashplugin-beta installation with -f flag: (pacman -Sf flashplugin-beta)

What is the easiest way of installing this on Arch64 - via Pacman or Yaourt? I haven't had much luck with either.

Maybe i post this massage too lately, but...
i fight with this for last hour ufff...
I also had those silly problem with fullscreen on flash (9) movies @ Arch64.
The sollution is to get new flash 10
just get nspluginwrapper-flashplugin-mozilla and all it dependencies
I simply use one command:
yaourt -S nspluginwrapper-flashplugin-mozilla
...then follow the white rabbit.... (install dependencies by typing Y - Enter, Y - Enter)
and then simply write that command (as a USER):
$ nspluginwrapper -v -i /opt/mozilla/lib/plugins/libflashplayer.so
Works great for me
Best wishes

Dude, this thread is really old and it's obvious, that this file isn't available anymore. Please write this into the AUR, that's the only place which makes sense to write this message
