Wacom Wiki not working for me ??

Hello,

I am trying to install a usb Bamboo touch pad.  I have xorg-server 1.8.1 installed.

I followed the Wacom Wiki exactly  as described    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wacom_Tablet
Autodetection did not work, so I moved down to Dynamic Xorg setup with udev section.  I created the udev rule file 10-local.rules as described using the correct values as provided by lsusb for my machine.  However, when I check /dev/input for wacom it is not there.  I have restarted udev, restarted the computer with no change.  How should I troubleshoot this?

Thank You

Re: Wacom Wiki not working for me ??

I recently purchased a bamboo fun tablet and have had great success with the xf86-input-wacom package. Previous to trying xf86-input-wacom, I played with the linuxwacom packages on the AUR with some mixed results.

I realize that me telling you this is no help to you at all, but maybe if you can tell me which model tablet are you working with, I can share some resources I found while I was attempting to get mine working.

http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/HOWTO_Wacom_Tablet was very useful.
