Installation on netbook with a solid state drive

I burned the most current archlinux installation image onto a usb and booted into it on my eeepc 900 netbook. The archlinux splash screen comes up just fine and I am able so select the boot archlinux option. After a bunch of output on the screen it gets hung up after the line:

sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Attached SCSI removable disk

ERROR: boot device didn't show up after 30 seconds...
Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
/bin/sh: can't access tty; jobcontrol turned off

[ramfs /]#

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more information about the system or something.
Thanks!
