Hey there--
So I just intalled WinXP inside VirtualBox PUEL. Strangely enough
I wasn't able to do the same with the OSE version. I went to the VirtualBox Forums,
but they couldn't help me and I guess that the problem does not lie
with VB itself but possibly with the compiling of the OSE version? (though I should add that
the OSE 64bit version installs just fine, I'm talking merely about the guest install)
There I can't even get past the first three seconds of the installation...
you know, that point where the installer says "Setup is Loading Files"-- after that I'm
only getting a black screen and the not so pacifying Guru Meditation (error).
I've installed OSE + additions + addtions modules from here,
although I didn't use the vbox.db thing since I don't know what it is for.
Anyway, is OSE 3.2.6-1 64bit perhaps not working on kernel 2.6.34 yet or did I make a mistake during
the install?
[I know that I could stick with the working bin version, but since I don't need the usb feauture anyway I might
just as well use the open source version]
