cd rw problems

I have problems with cd rw disc. Sometimes arch can't mount them : DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.NotFound: The given volume was not found, but I can't blank any of them at all. I booted from sysrescuecd, and there wasn't any issue while I blanked and burnt one. I am using gnome.
With other kind of media (dvd, dvd rw, cd) I have no problem.
Should I install some packages or what it is?

Re: cd rw problems

My first answer to these kind of problems is always to install cdrtools instead of cdrkit. You'll find the package in AUR.

What app exactly do you use for burning / blanking?

Re: cd rw problems

Thanks for your reply.

karol,
brasero

zenlord,
I checked sysrescuecd which includes cdrtools as well, so I suspect you gave me a good idea. I'll check it out. Ty.

MOD: cdrtools didn't manage to handle cd rw as well. Additional info: after loading a cd rw, cd writer will be unusable completly.
