I just reinstalled Arch on my G60-217EM following a period of inactivity. Now have the latest kernel, nvidia drivers & Xorg.
Everything works fine except for suspend and resume. this laptop used to work great with pm-utils + uswsusp combo for suspend. however now, when resuming from any suspend or hibernate action, i get a black screen. if i go to tty 1-6 it looks fine, but i cannot type anything. the moment i switch to tty7 (Xorg + KDE), the keyboard stops responding and I have to do a hard reboot.
please help, archers! Thanks!

bump. this is still a big issue!

update: there are no issues with this on kernel26-LTS, so it must be an issue with the new kernel. any ideas?

I have a similar problem with a Studio XPS 13, except I can't even switch tty the screen just goes black. Suspend just stopped working out of the blue, I don't recall changing anything.

This will not work for everyone, but it solved my problem.

mgzpac, that's a very odd issue, but I doubt it's the same - I never leave SD cards in the slot. Thanks for your help, though!

little update here. suspending still works on the -lts kernel, but on the regular kernel suspend won't even start - it simply goes to tty1, then the screen goes black and stays that way. the only way to fix it is a hard reboot.
any ideas?
