Trying to install Heroes of Newerth. Please help.

I took the AUR package of HON.

Makepkg went fine downloading the latest client but now it is aborting without any reason:

Never installed it myself, but it seems that the AUR package is outdated.  The current version is 1.0.4.

Download it here.  Then follow the instructions here.

Plus, I think they released a new patch today.

Hope this helps hmm

Yeah, the AUR package was for the betas (when I was still allowed to play, they kicked out my entire region from the game).

Follow their installation directions, install it into its own directory, it doesn't mess with system folders AFAIK.

Current version is 1.6.1 , just install in the home directory and you're done. It only creates a .Heroesof N.. dir in the home afterwards. Ah It's not free anymore.. 30 bucks!

Its totally worth it. Unfortunately 4 countries in the SEA region (mine included) got sold to a local distributor, so we don't get to play internationally. Flipside is we'll be playing for free, but only with our own gaming community.
