Annoying Flooding

I'm not positive who is making doing it, but I think it is Firefox. My TTY is flooded with

(Child won, so we're deferring)
(Process deferred in call)
Child process received `Goodbye': Closing down.

This is really really really annoying. I have tried redirecting stderr to /dev/null but these messages still get through. I think they have to do with flash, perhaps the new plugin sandboxing.

I would like confirmation that this is the source of the problem, and would like a way to silence these messages if there is no solution to the underlying cause.

Any insight is appreciated.

EDIT: Well that was stupid! I forget that my aliases don't work when I run from the Xmonad prompt! Redirecting stderr to /dev/null does work. But I would still like to know why in the world this happening, and how to stop it...
