I noticed that firefox is very slow when you scroll on a launchpad page. I see that X is using a lot of cpu when scrolling.
I am using nvidia 256.35-1 on a Geforce GT 240 on a up to date system.
You can try to scroll in firefox on https://bugs.launchpad.net/terminator/+bugs to see if its very slow for you.
Do anyone else experience this ?

Yes, same here, and nvidia as well. No idea what is causing this, launchpad it is the only page with such problems.

Seems like this is nVidia specific. Scrolling is fine with an ATI card here.

chromium is ok, perhaps nvidia-firefox specific

Same here. Using nVidia 256.35-1. After turning off image loading in firefox
everything goes to normal.

Launchpad seems quick in firefox now (firefox 3.6.8, nvidia 256.44).
