Since I upgraded Opera from 10.11 to 10.60, I found that it is displaying the pages quite slowly. For example, when I switch to another tab it slowly redraws the page, it's very annoying and I don't know what to do about that. I did a full system upgrade, just in case, but it didn't improve anything.
Currently running kernel 2.6.34, Xorg 1.8.1.902, Openbox (without any desktop environment, but Qt, KDE libs and GTK are installed), ATI Catalyst 10.6 (from AUR), on a Sony VAIO laptop with a Radeon HD 5470.
Does anybody else have the same troubles ?

Opera ditched their dependency on Qt to use an abstraction layer, loading gtk or Qt depending on what desktop you are using. This should explain the loss of performance, as it adds yet another layer in the graphic stack.
That is why I'm ditching Opera (I want a Qt webbrowser, not an openoffice.org-like thing).
