Rollercoaster Tycoon and Wine 1.1.44

I just found my Rollercoaster Tycoon (1) disk, and I installed wine and the game in excitement. Apon launching the game I get an error:

Error Trapper:
Exception Raised - Access Violation
Error Location: Unknown

I tried "running" it all under XP and lower in wine, but to no avail. Does anyone know why this is doing this and how I can fix it? I was really hoping to play this game again.

Wine 1.2 should be availible soon. I don't know how to fix the error though, sorry. My best bet is to wait and try 1.2.

You might get some help here:

seems that 1.0 version does not work. might be wise to try some patches or the expansion packs

Well you see, I can't get http://www.atari.com/rollercoastertycoo … RCT-UK.exe for my 1.08, cause it isn't exactly there anymore

Wine 1.2 does not fix the problem either.

awwwww. I am not a windows or wine guru so no help from me really.

have you tried the things suggested on the appDB?
