Is anyone experianced with UPS and linux support?

Hey,

I have a server running ubuntu 9.04. I want to get it a UPS unit (Basiclly a unit that has a battery it uses to power the computer at power failures). I specificlly look at the APC UPS CS 650VA model. I was wondering if anyone here has an experiance with this UPA unit? Is it Linux compatible?

Thanks in advance.

apcupsd supports most APC UPSs, check their documentation against the one your interested in: http://www.apcupsd.com/manual/manual.ht … and-cables

I have a APC SmartUPS and works perfectly with apcupsd

I use apcupsd software with a APC SMART-UPS 1000, and it works very well.
See http://www.apcupsd.com/  and check your UPS model.

To install it try:  "pacman -S apcupsd".
