How do I download and install rosegarden, since

pacman -Sy rosegarden

doesn't work...

Doesn't works for me too..

for now you can download:
wget ftp://ftp.archlinux.de/pub/archlinux/ex … pkg.tar.gz

and then:
su
pacman -S liblrdf ladspa dssi
pacman -A rosegarden-4.1.0-1.pkg.tar.gz

in pacman I've  ftp.archlinux.de as my main extra repository so using pacman -Sy rosegarden should work, right? but it doesn't for me..

anyway I agree with you that it can take some time before it is available on the repository "index" used by pacman so if somebody wants it right now just follow the way I suggested

Is this the initial release of rosegarden? If not, shouldn't the mirror have an older release that pacman would find?

it is the initial release, yes

the only other rosegarden pkg is in unstable and this is from cvs
