Weird sound problem when not touching mousepad

Hello Arch forum!

I've got this issue with Archlinux on my laptop, specifications here: http://www.mm-vision.dk/produkter/vispc … notevision

The issue is that, when i'm playing music, it makes some 'cuts'. But it's only when NOT using the mousepad. If i'm holding a finger on the mousepad, the sound is working correctly, but if i'm not touching it, it makes these 'cuts'.

I've tried VLC, and the error in console writes "alsa audio output error: write failed (Broken pipe)".

I've tried reinstalling, but doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Regards
Danubii

Re: Weird sound problem when not touching mousepad

This is weird problem.

Have you tried different settings for cpufreq? Different software for playing the music? Different audio backends (OSS)?

You might want to change this thread's topic to something more representative of your problem.

Just a hunch, but try disabling the inbuilt microphone.

Re: Weird sound problem when not touching mousepad

i've just seen that if i play the music in mplayer with option -ao alsa , it's almost fixed ..

But can this be put to good use. I mean if i'm playing some video in vlc, it's the same error ?
