Nvidia HDA, no audio

I'll admit, I'm no good with ALSA (or OSS, for that matter), as most of my experience with GNU and GNU/Linux has been on servers.  The issue is that, despite the hours of research I've done, I can't figure out how to get my soundcard detected.  Any help with this would be great.

It really doesn't help that this is a new motherboard with a new chipset that I've got very little experience with.

I decided to try OSS, and everything worked with no extra configuration.  This can be closed, left to rot, etc.

Did you try all the model= options? Example.

You have to show *what* you've tried.

So everything is working great except flash.  I don't hear any sound when I try to play a flash video.

EDIT:  same with HTML5

So what fixed it? You're expecting free help from the community, so it would be kinda nice if you gave some useful info back to the community also.

Edit: Are you using ALSA or OSS? Your lack of info is frustrating.
