Optimizations for ABS

how do i use CPU specific optimizations (i686 or athlon-xp) when using ABS to make a package from source?....where does it go in the PKGBUILD script? Sorry, tried reading the mans but couldnt find it...

I believe most of them are set automatically in /etc/makepkg.conf.

In other words, you don't have to worry about it unless you want to do something weird. smile

i want to! gcc supports athlon-xp specific optimizations, and so i replaced all i686 entries in makepkg.conf with 'athlon-xp' ...i'm compiling showimg now..ill let you know how it goes..thanks
