Canon pixma ip1200

Greetings,
I'm trying to get my Cannon Pixma ip1200 printer working on ArchLinux using the ip2200 driver - this configuration used to work on a Ubuntu install some time ago. I've tried following this howto (http://mambo.kuhp.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~takushi/#canon), converting the deb packages and installing the ip2200 driver from AUR.
When I try to print something, the job stops with message "stopped  "child process aborted"".
Is there any chance to make it work?
Thank you

Did you read this: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Canon_iP4300 (but instead get the correct ip1200 Canon drivers from their website)??

Philosophy is looking for a black cat in a dark room. Metaphysics is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there. Religion is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there and shouting "I found it!". Science is looking for a black cat in a dark room with a flashlight.

Now I have, I believe I've got the correct filters, but the message stays the same. However, when  I execute /usr/local/bin/ip2200_ps, it no longer complains about missing libraries (It only says that the 'lang' command was not found). The message is still the same, though...
