xmonad: noBorders works improperly with smplayer

I am using this xmonad.hs, which is essentially brisbin33's with a few minor adjustments.

The issue I have is that while applications such as Comix work fine "maximized" (i. e. neither borders nor any bars), for both SMplayer and MPlayer only the right and lower border is removed.

(Screenshot here)

Could you please help me? Or is this possibly a bug?

Update: This behavior only appears if the layout is switched by Mod+f, i. e. the "Hinted Full" is selected, which appears to be the default for SMplayer & co. If I switch by Mod+Space, the windows are displayed fine.

Re: xmonad: noBorders works improperly with smplayer

You could try using 'smartBorders Full' instead of 'noBorders Full' (they're both part of the NoBorders module) just to see if it works,  though i dont know why it would and noBorders wouldn't, but it's worth a quick check.   I apply smartBorders to all my layouts and smplayer obeys the rules just fine for me.  Also maybe try replacing your custom myDoFullFloat with just the plain doFullFloat to see if that's what is causing the problem.

@splittercode:

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately both did not change the behavior.

@ablepharus:
It's from Lang's "M".
