i dont have the gnome launch box

i have installed gnome-extras and gnome
and i want when i type alt+f2 the run box dont appear !
it is set on keyboard shortcuts

Didi you had another desktop before? ( like kde, etc...)

Is your keyboard setup correct?

Is gnome-panel running? The launchbox is part of that.

It should work automatically. What do you have set up in the hotkey settings? Are you running something else which might bind the same key?

maybe you are looking in the wrong direction. maybe your special keys doesn't work like f1->f10 because you didn't picked the right keyboard model.

depending of they way you configured input devices in X, you need to have in System->preferences->Keyboard, selected evdev if you have them autodetected or the one that you statically configured using keyboard driver.
