Wireshark Doesn't See Interfaces

I just installed Wireshark using Pacman:

root@tuna ~]# pacman -Qs wireshark
local/wireshark 1.2.9-1
A free network protocol analyzer for Unix/Linux and Windows

I then added my user account to the 'wireshark' group:

[root@tuna ~]# gpasswd -a cmennens wireshark
Adding user cmennens to group wireshark

I then re-opened the Wireshark program and when I click the 1st icon in the upper left corner that is for "List the available capture interfaces", nothing shows up. I don't see any network adapters from my PC. I don't understand what I am doing wrong or missing to be able to detect a device for Wireshark to detect my LAN interfaces.

Re: Wireshark Doesn't See Interfaces

you actually need to relogin after adding your username into that group

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: Wireshark Doesn't See Interfaces

Oh - I for some reason assumed the permissions were on the fly. I will try that...

Thanks!
