Hi there, does anyone here still have the PKGBUILD to the codecs-20071007-6 package?
I'm experiencing some issues ever since I upgraded to 20100303-1 a few weeks ago and I'd like to revert to 20071007-6 to see, if the issues are really due to the new codecs. I thought I kept a copy of the old codecs package but I didn't.

And when you're at it I'd like a 1896 bottle of wine.

Well thanks for the reply, but I know where to get the codec package at. I was looking for the PKGBUILD.

Did you try the current one + version & md5 change?

No I didn't yet. But again, writing _a_ pkgbuild is not my problem, I just wanted to see the original one.
Mainly because I wanted to see whether it used the "essential" or "all" pack and because, well it was the 6th revision of a codec package. Sure it could be that it simply took the maintainer 6 tries to write a correct pkgbuild, but if there are so many revisions of a simple package like that one it could be, that patches were added over time to that package. I guess that's what I want to know.

They may be backed-up somewhere, but I don't know whether and where.
This is all I see: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/codecs/
Did you try to contact the maintainer?

I haven't contacted the maintainer yet, but I may if this thread doesn't bring up the answers.
