Hi! A month ago the suspend to ram has stopped working - only black screen after resume. I'm using command sudo pm-suspend. My pm-suspend.log. Kernel is v33.

We're using .34 - why didn't you upgrade?
Do you have an Intel graphics card? What driver are you using?
Any chance of getting more details on what happened just before it stopped working? Did you upgrade something, changed some configs?

Do you remember when you help me with proprietary driver installing? I have to install kernel26-33, nvidia-173xx-utils-glselect 173.14.25-1
and nvidia-173xx-all 173.14.25-1. As I remeber, on nouveau also suspend doesn't work, but before nouveau suspend worked good as clock.

Ah yes, now I remember. Unfortunately I don't know why pm-suspend is failing.
I've always wondered, whether you need intel_agp if you're using nvidia.

What happens if you suspend, resume, suspend again and resume again - is it working?
Edit: are you running apci?

I can't resume again, because I have only black screen. Before suspending I have playing mpd-client, after resume I hear music. I made launcher on keyboard to playing other sound, press button but I don't hear this sound.
Acpi? No, I don't use it.

The 173xx drivers are back in the repos, so you can try to upgrade your system to current kernel etc.

173xx drivers are back
OK, I see it in arch packages, run pacman -Syu, run pac -S nvidia-173xx nvidia-173xx-utils but pacman can't find package! Also I run pac -Ss nvidia-173 and see 0 results.

Maybe the mirrors haven't synced yet. You can manually download the drivers:

This is for Intel cards but you may try it if you like.

I -Syued, updated successfully, but suspending still not working, only black screen. Maybe s2ram helps?
P.S. I have desktop, not laptop, I using suspend because rebooting and shutdown are too long for me.

I think you need acpi running + take a look at some wiki pages dealing with suspending http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IBM_ThinkPad_X31

Seems reasonable.

I tried this trick: killed X, switch to tty1, run sudo pm-suspend, resume and saw black screen again. But I can switch numlock bulb, so I by touch entered to tty2 and startx. Then I can see my desktop! What that means?

It's a bit like the idea I had a while back https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 92#p796492
I have no idea why it doesn't work the way it should, and killing X before suspending is kinda problematic.

For experiment I tried to replace nvidia to nouveau, but almost nothing changes, only from tty1 after resume can't by touch run startx.

Solved this issue with this: in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
...
Option "NvAGP" "1"
...
EndSection
'
also reinstalling video drivers and mkinicpio -p kernel26
Thanks for help, karol!!

You solved it yourself :-)
I'm glad you've got it working.
