Weird gnome gui unmount

As you can see I have Unmount, Eject and Safely Remove Drive which all do the same thing.

Is this a seriously bad GUI design by the gnome developers or is there something weird with my configuration?

I think it is bad design.  I assume safely remove means power of the usb so it can be removed safely, eject means eject the cd/dvd and unmount means just that.  But I'm not 100% sure!
