Hello,
Whenever I run 3D programs, I get this error message in dmesg many times:
[drm:drm_wait_vblank] *ERROR* Unsupported type value 0x34000000, supported mask 0x70000001
(the numbers never change)
Also, 3D programs are EXTREMELY slow (and even 2D stuff like mplayer and Flash videos are not fast).
I have an Acer Aspire 7720 laptop with Intel X3100 graphics.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
EDIT: xf86-video-intel 2.12.0-1 ; libgl 7.8.2-1 ; intel-dri 7.8.2-1.
When I run a compositing window manager, performance increases but then I get lots of graphical glitches (e.g. terminal windows don't scroll, buttons don't appear on windows until I move the mouse over them).

Try downgrading to xf86-video-intel 2.11.

Yeah, I know.
Sometimes the bugs (like a hung GPU) don't _always_ appear: you may be using your computer for hours and it'll be fine. Another time it will hang or slooow dooown to a craaawl just right after the boot.
But maybe you've changed sth: disabled KMS, added a switch to the kernel line, disabled a module ...

None of those three. To say, this is a clean install (moved from 32-bit to 64-bit), but I already was having similar problems (though not as severe) with my former 32-bit system.
