makeworld in a chroot environment

First, I am new to arch and related build tools.

I am trying to understand uses to makeworld and base-devtools.

I have gone thru a few makepkg examples and kick off a makeworld.

What I am going to eventually want to rebuild the repos in (eventually with a cross compiler, but baby-steps ...). I think I want to do this in a chroot environment.

What is the best known method for doing this?
I think I will want my newly built packages added a custom repo, and those new packages used to satisfy depends to build the following packages.
I guess this is similiar to want a new arch port would have to do.

Thanks in advance.

Re: makeworld in a chroot environment

Search around, this has been asked/discussed (by me among others) before.  Try bauerbill.
