VAIO AR11B + XFCE : Input buttons not working

Hello,

I have a Sony VAIO AR11B laptop and I first installed Gnome on it. The input buttons (what I call input buttons are the volume + and - buttons, the mute button, the Eject button etc) were working properly, and there was an icon which appeared on my screen whenever I pressed one of these buttons.

Then I gave XFCE a try, ant these buttons stopped working. I think it's a driver problem. I even tried installing pacman -S xorg-input-drivers but no use. However keyboard and mouse work fine.

Thanks.

From http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Son … GN_NR320FH
FN Keys (Volume): use xev to map the keyodes. Then load them:
My .Xdefaults:
keycode 174 = XF86AudioLowerVolume
keycode 176 = XF86AudioRaiseVolume
keycode 160 = XF86AudioMute
keycode 151 = XF86AudioPlay

Re: VAIO AR11B + XFCE : Input buttons not working

Sorry for the late reply, I solved the problem, and I thought it might be useful for future users. (btw thanks karol for replying so fast, quite impressed by this forum).
The keycodes were mapped correctly, there was a XF86AudioLowerVolume when I pressed on the Volume Down button, so the xmodmap and .Xdefaults solutions were no use. So i tried using keytouch. Installed it, but it didn't work correctly, in fact I had the same problem as this post : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=83119:

The only key that is working is the "Stop" button, but it doesn't work properly since it decreases the volume.

Searched a bit, and the solution came from xfce4-volumed. Install it from AUR. Solved all my problems (of course it only works for xfce users..., but as I said in my first post this problem didn't appear for me in Gnome).
