Switching from 32bit to 64bit

well, been on Arch 32bit for about 6 months now....I want to try the 64bit, partly because I want to setup the machine again, and partly just because I want to see the difference.

So, suggestions?

obviously going to backup my personal files.... should I copy /etc too?

anything else I should copy?

any migration tips would be appreciated...

thx

Re: Switching from 32bit to 64bit

There are a few topics like that around, I suggest you search the forums. If the forum search function is not up to your standards you can still use google with the site:bbs.archlinux.org key prefixed.

Re: Switching from 32bit to 64bit

NP wink

My main contribution to the arch community (and my post count) is lurking in the forums and shooting around one-liner links to the wiki. Still if it helps the question and encourages people to look their first the next time, I believe that is a credible thing to do.
