Can you provide a visible mark that _this_ is a hyperlink? In the wiki there's a blue thingy to the right of the link, there's no such thing on the forums. Bold v. regular font is not enough for my poor eyes.

I don't think that those marks on the Wiki are meant to signify that _this_ is a hyperlink, but that _this_ is a hyperlink to an external resource (eg. outside of archlinux.org ... or maybe just outside of wiki.archlinux.org).

Not really
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/BBSFAQ
Just below big fat 'How to use BBS' you have a link. That link has a blue marker even though it leads to another wiki page.

That link has been specified as an external link (using http://etc instead of [[ ]]).
The arrows are only applied to "external" links, though as can be seen, the wiki can tricked into thinking it's one when it isn't. smile
Not sure whether that was intentional or not...?

That's because someone didn't add a wiki-link correctly.  It was:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Forum_Etiquette

I just fixed it to:

[[Forum Etiquette]]

Take a look at that image anyway, the filename is external.png:

Simple, clean, scales well to funky window sizes.

I gotta say, I'm definitely a fan.

Re: Update of FluxBB

I think you should specify interwiki links in a way that doesn't create the arrow, but now I'm happy that the are many "wrong" links :-)

Re: Update of FluxBB

Ok, looks nice but:
1- The background color of the BB should match the one from the home page (eg.: be darker).
2- The font color should match the one from the home page too, also the color of the "already visited" links.
3- Also the forum navigation links ("index >> announcement >> ecc..) should match the titles on the home page ("A simple, lightweight distribution" "Latest News")
4- ... The BB theme should match the homepage theme!

This should also fix the optical nerve irritation i have when looking for a long amount of time at a semi white screen...

By the way, were is the tollbar to insert Bold, Html, Smilies ecc... gone?

But in the end... the stuffs that matter is a better manageability for Moderators and Maintainers, so Kudos for you wink

There are some small design changes which need to be applied to the main page. They are currently only present on the forums and wiki.

Nice work! Love the design, and with the new "next" and "previous" buttons I can finally use Vimperator properly!

Thanks wink

Re: Update of FluxBB

Really like the new design in general. Especially I like that it feels like everything is better spaced out since that makes the hinting in Vimium easier to use.

The only thing I have to comment negatively on is that I liked when "Show new posts since last visit" and "Mark all topics as read" where on the right more since they stood out more then.

Since I use vimperator, I can just hit 'f sh' and it goes to that link wherever it is. smile

Is it only me, or does the new theme of the boards appear to be _extremely_ (!) bright? I mean, it's really really bright...

These things are always personal, like fonts.  However, I find the default ArchLinux very bright indeed, glaringly so in fact.  I have changed mine to Lithium, which is much easier on my eyes.

I find the new theme more comfortable; easier on the eyes. I agree that it could be more compact, though.

Thanks for all the hard work, Pierre! Much appreciated!

Re: Update of FluxBB

I might just be imagining things, but....
didn't we have a [wiki] tag
I know I've used it in the past, but that post has it as

don't remeber if [wiki]udev[/wiki] counts as a demon

also out of code tags [wiki]hal[/wiki]

might be that I'm not on the Arch theme, I'll check really quick

edit: typo in example
edit2: same under Arch Linux theme

Re: Update of FluxBB

Nice work, thank you.

The only thing is: if I change the theme to any other than the archlinux theme, the main menu bar (Home, Wiki, AUR etc.) disappears.
