Gnome and XFCE any functoinallity regression?

Hello again!
I readed some revisons of using Gnome and many peapole said that there no functionality regression...
I want to ask, what things that are in Gnome you want to see in XFCE... if there are any?

That i can take Applications from the Menu and put it to the Panel

Proper samba/network browsing integrated in thunar. Smbnetfs and fusesmb were broken for so long...
At the moment mounting in thunar needs hal I think. nautilus can without..

Well there is one thing that nautilis has that I wish Thunar has, that is, split pane.

Right that would be very useful, for now you can only create manually an actrivator...

Right but I think only Gnome (Nautilius) is Hal independent KDE need to use it too for now.
