[SOLVED]Black Screen when resuming from suspend

Hi, everyone last week i net-installed arch i686 in my laptop. I know that it has installed kernek 2.6.34-ARCH and xorg 1.8.
When i suspend the machine (Closing the laptop) it suspend correctly (I can notice by seeing some leds in the laptop) but when i resume the suspend, the only thing i see is a black screen.
Help!

What graphics card are you using and what drivers? Are you using acpi?

I have a  ATI X1200. I'm using the free drivers xf86-video-ati, ati-dri, etc. The lastest packages
How can i know if i'm running acpi?

Please post /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/kernel.log.

If

pgrep acpid

shows some numbers, it means acpid is running.

What's the output of /var/log/pm-suspend.log?  Also, any relevant messages such as ACPI failures in /var/log/kernel.log, either?

Are you using KMS?
Have you tried using another driver?

I think you should try to boot while passing the option 'nomodeset' to the kernel, which will disable KMS load at boot.  After booting with KMS disabled, try to suspend/resume and see if the blank screen goes away.

Go to /boot/grub/menu.lst and add 'nomodeset' at the end of the kernel line (the line that starts with 'kernel'), like this

Try also with "vga=0" at the end of kernel line in /boot/grub/menu.lst.

I'm sorry, I'm not an expert on ATI cards.
If by 'previous version' you mean previous versions of xorg-server, that may be related to the introduction of KMS - you have to use 'nomodeset' switch to restore the old way of doing things. KMS should work in most cases that's why it's enabled by default.
