[SOLVED]rt2860 and 2.6.34

Many people are reporting problems,
for me the situation is the following:

i have 2.6.34 and a rt2860 (ralink wlan adapter)

(it worked even worse in 2.6.33 so i stayed at.32 [or .31 cant remember] for quite some time now)

After updating i can use the wlan adapter:

i can list networks, i can turn it on/off

But:

When connection to a network it works fine (using wicd) for 5 seconds or so
after that i cannot reach/ping ANYTHING, not even the router that 5 seconds ago
gave me this ip using dhcp :-(

i was just wondering if anyone knows how to solve this, or if its back to 2.6 .32/.31 for me (wich would be a shame
, cause i think there are a LOT of pkgs that i would have to downgrade manually (again) -.- )

Luckily i anticipated this and did not remove old unused packages,
i must say i am disappointed (but i dont know by whom ....)
the rt2860 worked very well for me, only few wpa1/2 secured connection gave me troubles
but most of the time even they worked very well, once established it NEVER lost connection
(without a good reason like unplugging the router -.- )

Hope someone knows something about this :-/
thx in advance

SOLVED

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Rt2 … .30_issues
Just blacklisting the additional rt drivers that for some reason were loaded but not needed,
and confilcting with my rt2860 solved everything (didnt previously look at it cuz i have --60 not --70)

thx to the irc channel !

Re: [SOLVED]rt2860 and 2.6.34

No offense meant, just FYI, but it is mentioned in the Wiki:

In kernel since 2.6.29 and requires no extra packages. It can be configured using the standard wpa_supplicant and iwconfig tools. Unfortunately this does not go for Arch. In order to get it to work, disabling the following modules has proven to be successful:

rt2800pci rt61pci rt2x00pci rt2800usb rt2800lib rt2x00usb rt2x00lib
