As proclaimed in the Quick Arch Linux Install wiki page:
For the net install, you need to configure the network. If you have a DHCP server connected to your computer with an Ethernet cord, odds are the auto-configure will work automatically.
Does the Arch Linux installation still automatically configure my network connection, by the means referenced in the quote? I read in some places that it no longer does, but would like to make sure.

It did configure the network for me. I've used the 2010.05 'release'.

Alright, thank you. I hope now I can finally join the Arch community.
Time to reboot, and install!

If it doesn't work: Configure Network (netinstall)

Alright... I installed Arch Linux onto a separate partition than my working Xubuntu 10.04 installation. When I rebooted, I wasn't able to boot into Arch Linux. I could get into GRUB, but when looking through the operating systems, it only showed Xubuntu. What could I have done wrong?

Did you add your Arch install to your existing GRUB install? Have a look at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beg … Bootloader
