If I try to use my NGS Showcam on Cheese, for example, it works fine.
However, if I go to a website that uses Flash to find and use my webcam, it won't work, there's only a black image.
This didn't happen before actually, it was only a few days ago. I think it may have been caused by one of the recent kernel updates, but I'm not sure.
So, what can I do?
Also note, I'm a newbie to Arch, and Linux in general, so if you do give me instructions, please make them easy to follow and understand. Thanks in advance.

I have almost the same problem: my webcam works nice with Cheese but I get a black image in Skype.

Yes.

If you're using a 32-bit chroot, make sure you have all bindings set up correctly. Check your dmesg output for errors related to your webcam.
EDIT: Also applicable if you are using nspluginwrapper to run a 32-bit Flash. You will have to make sure you have the right libraries and things installed to get webcam support from the 32-bit Flash binary.

Well, I ran dmesg and here's the last few lines that seemed relevant to me:
fuse init (API version 7.14)
usb 6-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2
Linux video capture interface: v2.00
gspca: main v2.9.0 registered
gspca: probing 0c45:600d
input: sonixb as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb6/6-2/input/input7
gspca: video0 created
gspca: found int in endpoint: 0x83, buffer_len=1, interval=100
usbcore: registered new interface driver sonixb
sonixb: registered
NET: Registered protocol family 10

I don't see anything special, any errors or that kinda stuff, but I'm an Arch newbie anyways so I could be missing something.

Yeah, that output looks like your camera is set up correctly and it doesn't like the device errors out when you open Firefox. Make sure you have all relevant libraries, including 32-bit libraries if necessary, installed. If you are on 64-bit and using Flash Player without a chroot, you will need these libraries.
