Laptop shuts down during wakeup process after pm-suspend

Hi,
I have Dell Vostro V13 and I am trying to setup pm-suspend. The problem is as following.
I pm-suspend the laptop, that's seems fine. However, when I want to wake it up, it only
react to the power button. So I press the power button, it starts to wake up and within two
seconds suddenly laptop halt abruptly. In 90% this results in corrupted kernel image and I
have to fix that in order to be able to boot up again.

I installed
hal
pm-utill
pm-quirks
acpi
acpid
acpi-support-debian

I tried w/o gnome-power-manager running.

I tried to echo " LID" to /proc/acpi/wakeup but nothing happens. The file wakeup is not
changed at all.

Where should I look? How to test pm-suspend and wakeup in a more soft matter? (Abrupt halts are not fun.)

Cheers,
Elfi
