I've been trying to install Arch on a VPS running Xen. I've followed the guide on their wiki (slightly modifying the PKGBUILD script since the linux source wouldn't extract with bsdtar), patching and compiling the Linux kernel. I reboot the VPS, and output just stops at `udev: starting version 160`. (full output: http://aur.pastebin.com/Y93PqN7M)
I'm really not sure where to go from here. I've tried searching and found some reports saying "hwclock can hang a DomU, however the introduction of a udev rule when /dev/rtc appears causes hwclock to run and the whole thing to hang" (source), but I couldn't find an Arch alternative to HWCLOCKACCESS=no to try it. Does anyone have experience setting up Arch manually on Xen?
